Top Communication Apps in Russia: Q4 2024 Performance

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the performance of the top communication apps in Russia showcased interesting trends across downloads and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.

KakaoTalk : Messenger from Kakao Corp. experienced fluctuations in weekly revenue, with a peak at approximately $120 in mid-November. Weekly downloads varied, reaching a high of about 2.7K in late December. The app saw its weekly active users rise from around 24.9K at the beginning of the quarter to approximately 30.1K by the end.

Zalo, published by Zalo Group, had a steady number of weekly downloads, peaking at 628 in mid-December. The app maintained a consistent level of weekly active users, starting at about 43.9K and ending at 39.1K.

Cisco Jabber from Cisco Systems, Inc. saw a decline in weekly downloads, starting at 991 and dropping to 204 by the end of December. However, its weekly active users increased steadily, peaking at approximately 36.2K in mid-December.

Linphone by Belledonne communications had a relatively low download rate throughout the quarter, with a notable drop to 65 in the last week of December. Its weekly active users began at 445, gradually decreasing to 279 by the end of the quarter.

Finally, Мой Ростелеком saw significant weekly downloads, peaking at around 59.5K in late October. The app experienced a substantial increase in weekly active users during December, reaching a high of approximately 2.78M.
